It's live! very cool stuff, I once saw a video very similar showing lava reaching the sea and it was amazing, beautiful and scary.

Take some chunks of basalt and heat to 2400 degrees, then add some cold water with maybe some sledgehammer persuasion...

2 minutes 23 seconds. One of my students said this was the best video he had ever seen (third grader)
