Okay, I'm what my better half calls "mechanically challenged", but I'm also an optimist and am getting better with experience.
I bought a pair of these 21-LED, 4-inch, rear on/off thumb switch lights here:

...as nice as they look, they are heavenly in the hand, and the case is rock-solid. Electronics, internals, connections however, are all total crap-ola. Good concept, 3 AAA batteries in a module, but the lights seem to flicker and go out, have to be shaken/stirred,
wiggled and flicked each time they're turned on, and it's a crapshoot as to whether they'll come on, much less stay on, each time.
These lights don't appear to be rocket science, but I just need a wise and experienced guiding hand on where to start, what to do, to make them reliable and solid.
Once solid, I can imagine these becoming my very favorite lights, despite owning nearly a dozen others of various makes & models.
Any help is appreciated, and I'll be happy to answer questions needed to get to the bottom of the problems and get it solved.
Thanks & regards,
Ben/Fignozzle
