Hi all,
I would like to extend an invitation to all CPF members to attend this year's get together in Germany from the 17th to the 19th of August. The location will be at a private camping area not too far from Heidelberg.
This link, http://www.yllux.de/www/mediawiki/index.php/Sommertreffen_2007, describes the location and facilities. There is running water, electricity, a rest room, and a village not too far from the camping area. A small fee for renting the facilities applies, but can be minimal if shared. CPF member ho71ko is in charge of organizing the weekend, so please PM either him or me for more details. We would like to have a series of workshops during the weekend on topics such as modding, upgrades or whatever we can work out. If you have a talent or skill you would be willing to share with others, please let us know. I also thought a raffle or door prizes would be nice. I have a few ideas in mind such as Deoxit pens or battery testers and with some group input, we might have some bigger prizes.
The camping area is sufficiently large, but you will need to bring a tent or sleep in your auto. I have some additional camping gear I could bring, but let me know ahead of time. Last year's get together was great fun and the selection of lights that everyone brought was impressive. I did the cooking of hamburgers with all the extras, and I will do steaks this year as well. This is a great opportunity to meet other CPF members in person and should prove to be a great event.
I have probably forgotten to include some information, so please post here and either I or one of the German CPF members can answer your questions. I hope to see as many of you as possible this August. Thanks,
