Flashaholic Getogether in Singapore! part 2

Alright, this is a feeler, is any SG flashaholics interested in meeting up each other? We could probably share lights, and let newbie SG flashaholics have a feel for a light to see if it suits them.. e.g. I propose meeting in the bukit timah nature reserive region because it's very dark there and... *cough cough* we can experiment to see what the beam patterns are like at long range, and what true darkness actually is.

For the more adventurous, we can go to pulau ubin on a moonless night. It is so dark that you can't even see your hands in front of you, so... I guess it should be fun.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?

To all SG flashaholics who sees this post, tell your other CPF SG flashaholics about this thread, cos I believe it doesn't garner much attention in this forum.

buihia, i got it from marketplace, another Sigman sold it to me. there are some up on ebay though. Go the the market place, and look for the auction notices, abit down the page.

another qn, how do u find the ndi? issit really good and reliable? do u think the light's worth it for so much ? im intending to get the p60L drop in instead of getting the ndi.. which do u think is better?

also, i heard that u returned the ndi for repair.. issit back yet?

nope, its out of stock, so Edgetac is sending me a new one the second they get stock again. Its pretty reliable, only the switch has been reported to have problems for some people. I myself had totally no problems, until it died for reasons i dunno. lol i would get the NDI if i were you, its a really great light.

I'm only a Staff Sergeant/Ag.Insp

How was the last place, the one off Orchard Blvd? If that's good just stick to it since it's pretty central & close to an MRT station. All the other really dark places are way out unless you have a car/bike which not all of us have, plus there are not a lot of good dark places due to our terrible light pollution nearly everywhere!

Hopefully I can rebuild my light collection first before the next meet up.

That on is pretty OK ... Just that the mosquito infestation there was plain horrible ... area lighting was provided (in a sense) by lampposts that lights up a pavement leading to the international school ... No chairs and tables, so we'll be putting whatever we brought on the ground ... Looks kinda spooky over there if you ask me, The air roots dangling off the huge trees justs creeps me out ...

I'll suggest bringing a small bamboo mat to lay on the grass, some Mosquito coils and DEET cream, some form of beverage and MORE INCANS !!!
