Hi, I am completely new at this and I have a few questions on what I need.

I am not sure which diodes i can use? There is one on ebay that is 100mw, but on the video it says to use a 16x dvd burner...is there a big difference?

Also the 100mw says don't go over in case of overheating...how do i prevent it from going past 100...?

Hi if anyone knows http://kipkay.com/videos/laser-flashlight-hack Thats a website on how to make flashlight into burning laser pointer.

I am trying for first time to make one, but I have a few questions on the supplies I need.

-I found a 100mw diode on ebay...but do I have to use 16x dvd burner?

-The 100 mw diode says its limit is 200 but better not to keep it at 100...is there a way to keep it down to 100?
