I just purchased an aleph tail-cap with a flat top disk. I was wondering how you are supposed to use this disc. With the disc in the tail-cap nether the mcclicky the two stage or the flat two stage fits. I don't understand why I paid 5 dollars for a boot that is worthless.

Since I was bored this morning I took a quick shot of the different switches as they should be assembled in the tailcap. The stubby two stage on the left is the switch for the flat rubber disk. The other two use the domed rubber boot. I hope my lousy picture helps.:)

Thanks man. I tried all the possible configurations. When i put the flat two stage in with the flat top it is loss in its casing so it just falls on to the battery tube and is constantly on. The o ring that is on the regular two stage is what keeps the two stage in the tail cap.

The flat two stage switch doesn`t snap into the tailcap like the long version. The threaded plastic piece and the O ring just below the resistor PCB keep the switch straight and centered so it won`t touch the battery tube or tailcap and come on when the light is not supposed to. Make sure that O ring is on the switch and the threaded platic piece is screwed into the tailcap. The battery negative pushes against the switches spring should be forcing the switch into the tailcap away from the battery tube until the tailcap is twisted tight or the flat rubber is pressed and held for momentary light.
