Is there a bulb that offers even more flood than a standard halogen flood light? The application is an exterior first story eve. Seems like the light is a little too focused. Would reducing the wattage help? Thanks. The other lights that are mounted higher are fine.

I don't really know if there is a halogen to do what you want or not, but I have a fluorescent 65 watt flood I put up and it casts some serious light. It is a round fixture, not one of the one's with the reflector behind it, found it at Lowes.

Here is a fixture and bulb with a reflector, so I don't know if it will be as wide enough area for you (mine casts light 360 degrees) but I am betting it would be.

Keep in mind you can't just screw this bulb in your existing outlet like a CFL, it needs an external ballast.

EDIT: here is the one I got, I found them on closeout.
