I'm curious to know what the beam is like.

Are there any rings or artifacts?

The Aleph-2 head uses a McR20 reflector (for luxeon)
or McR20-S reflector (for the Seoul SSC-P4 led)

How was the reflector in this light adjusted in order for it
to focus correctly with a Cree led?

Do you have any info on the output and colour binning of the Cree?

The beam is excellent IMO. No rings or artifacts. I bought the light this way, I do not know how it was adjusted. My guess is somebody modded it with a Cree. If you remove the LE there is a coating applied to protect the emitter from touching. Most of what you see around the emitter is shadow, I couldn't get a good close up. I just don't use it, so somebody else may as well enjoy it. Somebody that can detail it a little and shine it up will have a fine light IMO. Dont know the bin but with 2 primaries it is nice and bright. The LE says 4-12v on it but I didn't try rechargeables in it, I've only had it on for maybe 5 minutes total. I hope that answers your questions.

I have tried a Cree LE in my A2 with a McR20-s and thought it was a very nice beam. The spot looked like with a McR19 but had more flood.

I was pretty impressed with it as I'm kind of picky about rings and artifacts and alot of Cree lights seem to have a dark area around the hotspot but this light doesn't have that.

Nake, that's very interesting that a Cree L.E fits in an Aleph2 with
McR20-S to provide a good beam.
