Found!

Hi all,

I'm looking for an 18650 single cell body for my Surefire L4. Ideally I would be looking for something like a Mirage_Man or TranquilityBase E-Series split body in natural finish to match the L4 but I am open to any offers.

If you have anything looking for a new home please give me a shout! :)

Thanks,
Dave.

Have a look down the back of the sofa people, or at the back of the "sock drawer" which I just know hasn't seen socks in years! I found a spare 9P in mine and the cash from that is earmarked for whoever wants it has an 18650 split-body. ;)

Ok, I just bought a ROP over at the marketplace and I've managed to convince myself that wasn't with the money set aside for this... someone please help me out before I spend any more!

FM has a thread in this forum for 18650 E-series bodies.

Link

Sgt. LED and someone else, maybe mudman were saying the LED heads had a slight issue with the IMR 18650 cells.

Slight correction: The issue was with standard AW protected Li-ion cells. I don't know if the same issue exists with IMR cells. The cause of the problem seems to be that the 18650 cells have a shorter button than 17670 or 18500 cells. The solution for me was to add a thin magnet to make up the difference.

Yeah I saw the FM thread but the 18650 bodies sold out fast, and I also noted the issue with the LED heads. I did ask FM if he was doing another run and he said he might in the future if demand is high enough, which is why I am on the hunt still and would prefer a split-body if at all possible.

...the money set aside for this...

Exactly what kind of money are we talking about? I've got this one:

And this one:

...and no, the dollar bill behind them is no indication of my value for these lights. It's just the only thing I had left after I bought them.

edit: Don't forget about the Leef E-head, C-tail option.

Very nice Ty, so you're one of the lucky ones eh?

Well the TranquilityBase bodies sold for $60 originally, and the Mirage_Man ones for $70, so I would certainly be willing to pay that much. I'll drop you a PM.
