Full spectrum LEDs?

I was just looking at this new LED invention and it appears that it would be capable of full spectrum output without phosphor.:thumbsup:

Cool article. This is the first I've seen of this technology. I'd be worried about light extraction, but definitely something to keep an eye on.

I was thinking the same thing. It will be interesting to see if the gains of not having a phosphor will be greater than the light extraction losses.
