I didt think that picture was valid due to it being another converter...
Now I just have to wait for the candystuff to get from the Shoppe...
Next problem the is probably to get s proper iron...

Yup, that picture Nake picture is correct. With most of Wayne's boards, the side with the sense resistors is usually LED+.
Remember, never apply power to it (or reverse) unless you have load connected to it or the IC will.

Vin is "voltage in" or in otherwords, battery +. Battery - & ground is the same connection for the GD board but keep in mind that it's not always like this.

It depends how you are using it. If your battery will be making contact directly to the board (like making a Minimag sandwich or Aleph LE), you do not need to solder anything to Vin. If you're using it where the battery will not make direct contact with the board (like in a MagC/D mod), a wire connecting from the battery + (in a MagC/D mod it would be from the switch) will need to connect to Vin or just the battery + pad on the other side of the board.
Battery - & LED - will both have to connect to the two holes marked J6.
Can you post a picture of your wiring, including the connection to the LED?

So if you are gluing the board to the can you should leave one small area unglued to make ground contact with the can?
I think the GD boards have a metal "ring "? around them? What if you just Epoxied the bottom flat surface where it mates with the can? and left the outer edge exposed and touching the inside of the can?
Glad this was started , I have misc. parts also but ignorant and afraid to start trying it.

When I used to epoxy the boards to the can, I would have the negative wire go thru the board about 10mm and then run it to a notch I put in the can which I soldered it to. If it's too long, you can trim it before soldering.
Another option is to drill a small hole (wire gauge drill bit) through the can and solder the wire through the hole. You can then file the wire and excess solder flush with the outside of the can.
