I never knew flashlights could be modded like I see here! I was looking for LED modules for the Mags I keep scattered around the house and in the cars. The house lights got NiteIze 1w lights (seemed like a good deal) and the car lights just got Malkoff drop-ins. I also put a Malkoff in the light I keep beside the bed as that's what I carry when I start looking for things that go bump in the night inside the house (it's always the cat, but I feel better knowing that's all it is). I was amazed at how bright it is and figure it will make anyone I might find stop in their tracks long enough to make the first shot count.

Seeing everything here makes me want to start modding more but doing them all might not work out, so I'll stick to that one I depend on the most. I do want to find lanyard rings for all the others and need to explore a bit more here to see what everyone else has done.

This site is addictive!

Yes it is....and whereabouts in Va are you in man......im in va beach, and welcome to the site.

I'm up north in "Occupied Virginia" near Manassas. I'll be reading here all weekend! I can't do it from work or nothing will get done there and the boss might eventually notice. :scowl:

What got me started was I'm waiting on delivery of a new car and have been trying to get all the accessories lined up - tool kit, mats, etc. when it hit me that maybe a better-than-average light might be in order, plus that is an excuse to upgrade what I carry in my truck. And then it started...

LK,

Welcome to CPF. Yes, the site is VERY addictive... Since you got a Malkoff for your M@G I'll assume you've found the "Homebuilt & Modified" forum. If not... may the Gods of Light have mercy on you...

And yes, keep reading & learning. There's a university doctorate's worth of info about flashlights and every possible variant imaginable. Have fun and ask questions, its what makes this such a great place to learn.
