Good Deal on Eneloop AAAs

It's been posted before, Bob's site has good deals on the Sanyo Eneloops. Coupon code is Sheep, 10% off, standard, been around awhile, no need to make a small order to get the code.

THanks, Bob's looks like a good site. I wonder why they only have Eneloops in 2-packs and no 4- or 8- packs. The price per cell is fine, but Eneloops have an awful lot of wasteful packaging and I'd rather minimize the amount of plastic I'm throwing away.

I wondered that myself. I also found it unusual (and welcome) that they had a better price on the AAAs than the AAs. I had found it easier at other places to get a good deal on the AAs than on the AAAs.

Could be he got a better deal on 2-Packs from a wholesaler. I'd think most retailers would want to go with the 4-Packs. That is a good deal on eneloop cells . . .

paulr - you can reuse the inner case as a battery case. It's abit wimpy though. The Japanese are a bit obsessed with packaging and presentation and they have no problem with high tech recycling. But not the rest of the world...

I just ordered and received 20 Eneloops (AA and AAA) from batterybob.com. Lots of lights, radios and Wii controllers around the Powernoodle Compound feed on Eneloops.

cheers

Beware that my Batterybob AAA Eneloop order were all mfg. dated 4/2006...

My AAAs were 08-2006, AAs were 05-2006, doesn't really matter to me though, don't need the freshest, they're made for recharging after all. :)

It doesn't really matter to me when they were manufactured. But thanks for reminding me to check when I receive them. I will check the voltage too :)

I ordered two packs of each. As soon as I get the 10% off e-mail, I am going to order more...

I just posted the code in this thread right on top, it is "Sheep". I did it for the benefit so others didn't have to order twice and save time.

I got 4 packs of AA and 2 packs of AAA, all dated 2006-08. I had a slight glitch with the order form so I called the 800 number and Bob himself answered and was very helpful and he got my order out promptly. I wonder what he thinks of getting all these Eneloop orders from CPF.

I also sent in the little follow-up e-mail and mentioned CPF. I should've asked him to consider a CPF discount!
In any event, I was pleased with the cells, the price, and the service/fast ship.

Today I received my 2 packs of AAA and 2 Packs of AA Eneloops from Battery Bob, all dated the same, 2006-08.

Amazingly they all read the same voltage..1.30 volts on my DMM. Very consistent.
