Hello, does anybody where the best place to buy Eneloop AA batteries?? Thanks John
If you really want them now, you can get a four pack for $15 at Circuit City. It's not just eneloops they charge too much for. Energizer 4 pack is the same price at CC too.
Not strictly from Australia but a good deal anyway. How about in Oz - any ideas anyone?
BrokenR1,
I picked up 5-8 packs of AA Eneloops at Circuit City 2 weeks ago for $6.57 each. May help to call around and ask if this item is in stock and for how much: TOCGESHR3UTG8BP. It's the 8 pack for $6.57 and is the number I used for them to look up in inventory so I wouldn't waste a trip...
Recently got burned by buying 4 AAAs at CompUSA at a close out sale of 8.99, and they are only 50% chargeable after a C9000 39 hour set up charge.

This is not quite right. The 0.1C conditioning charge will not harm an NiMH cell even if it is fully charged to start with. The cell chemistry is designed to handle this low level of overcharge almost indefinitely. There are shuttle reactions that pass the current through the cell without causing an overpressure inside it or overheating it, and without causing any harm to the electrodes. I recall seeing a manufacturer's data sheet for one cell that says their call can handle a 0.1C charge for a year without damage. The C9000 break-in first charges at 0.1C for 16 hours. That will overcharge a battery that is already charged. Overcharging will greatly diminish a battery's capacity.
