There will be 20 lights sold in this groupbuy with a possiblilty for more.
I will need to have the lights pre-paid for this go-around due to my
expendable monies being put into other projects like the Chimera Mini.
I will start the parts order process once i have 15 lights pre-paid.
If you want to wait on ordering till the review comes out , Then no
problem I will post the links to the Reviews in this post, Once they
come out. Edit: At some point if there aren't any more orders and
the total does not come to 15, then i will just place the order for
the parts to keep the wait down for you folks
The "Appoximate" leadtime is 3-4weeks After i place the parts order
It is just about the same time frame as the previous groupbuy.
These lights are a modified DX 123-based edc that i replace the
stock led with a P7 or MC-E. The light retains its water resistance
properties, and works the same way as the stock light. But with
alot more power. Approx 300-350 lumens for an MC-E and 350-400
lumens for a P7. And up to ~500 lumens for the direct drive options.
The P7 is a Coolwhite color of 6000-6500 Kelvin.
Whereas the MC-E is around 4500. The light output is "Visually"
the same between the two, If you had them side-by-side.
The color rendering with the MC-E is better than the P7, Which
is why it seems to have the same output.
Specs:
Driver: Stock MCU-C7 with a ~1300mA output on high,
and 50mA on the Lowest custom output from group 3(See Below)
Lens: Standard Glass.
O-Rings: Upgraded from stock rubber to Silcone. All threads and
o-rings are greased with silicone.
Battery Size: 123 in either Primary/Rechargable 3.0v-3.7v
But this light will run on ANY Battery from 0.9v-4.2v if it will fit
You can use LifePo or other safe chemistry batteries.
If you wanted the Direct-Drive version, please use a protected
rechargable (which i sell) or a Safe Chemistry battery that has a
working voltage of 4.2v. Please PM me for details.
Lanyard or Clips: Please PM Me for details, as i have limited quantities.
Rear Button color choices: Black/Orange/Glow/Blue
The Blue and Glow work well with the led backlit button.
Added: Orange is now added to the Backlit Glowcap options.
I only have pics up for the orange and green. The blue will
be up as soon as i have some in hand
The led behind the button Cannot be turned off unless you
remove the rear cap. The led consumes about 3mA from the
battery. I mis-figured the current consumption from the last sale
Direct Drive or 2-Mode option: I can setup the led to run directly
from the battery with the stock on-off clicky, or a 2-Mode clicky
that can have a high and a low. from about 20 lumens on low, to
about 500 lumens when using a Safe Chemistry high output 3.7v
battery. The 2-mode clicky works like this: Off-1-2 < High or low
can be setup to either mode So if you wanted High on the first
click from off, then so be it! Mwa!
Added- A Rear-Led glowcap Cannot be added to the direct drive
options with either the 2-mode or single mode. This is an option
Only available with the Mutimode Driver in the Stock $95.00 light..
Sorry for any confusion
