They're selling pot mod instructions for $5 when you can find a bunch of them here on CPF for free.

Uh... just search for "leadlight mod." Using those terms, I found many good threads, the most comprehensive of which seemed to be this one. I wasn't too jazzed about messing with a laser, so I just bought a 50mW from www.thegreenbeam.com for $100 (and $4.05 shipping). It's pretty bright, and pops black balloons almost immediately. They also have a 5mW for $35.

I got my black balloons at Diddams for about $2 for 25 balloons. I first tried Safeway, Rite-Aid, and Michael's (called them first, but no answer!). I called Diddams and they immediately said they had them, and they do indeed.

EDIT: I just checked thegreenbeam, and they seem to be out of stock. However, they did say they had three 50mWs left before I bought mine, and then two left after I bought, so it looks like that's accurate. If you email them, they'll probably tell you when they're getting more.
