Has anybody ever tried running a Surefire P61 off of an 18650?

I know some folks have tried it... and it would work, but not very efficiently.
A pair of CR123s drive a P61 at about 4.5V (at best) dropping to about 3.4V in about 20 minutes. An 18650 will drive it at about 3.8V (at best) dropping to about 3.35V in about 45 minutes..
So... The P61 ends up running roughly half as bright (about 60%) on a fresh 18650 as it would on fresh CR123s. But, it does run a whole lot longer...
With LF offering a EO-4 that runs at 2.35A as I recall, and actually gets driven properly on 3.7V, there just isn't any reason to run a P61 in this configuration, the EO-4 would blow it away.
