I know, I saw some 18650 cells for sale in the CPF Marketplace a while ago, the seller shrinked his 18650s in a white heat shrinkable tubing.

Question: WHERE can I buy this stuff?? Ordinary off-the-shelf heat shrinkable tubing is WAY too thick for this purpose

Timmo.

I have bought shrinking tubes (not for batteries) here and here. I guess 3/4" or 20mm should work for 18650 batteries.

Who knows? Maybe they just got busy, I know that's happened to me a time or two.

The link you posted earlier was for heatshrink with glue in it -- we used to use that on F-16's, but that might not be the best if someone wanted to be able to get it apart at some point. Got a link for the same stuff "plain"?

The link I gave is actually plain PVC heatshrink without glue. They are providing a link that shows a page for heatshrink and glues. I have tried these heatshink tubes and they work very well for batteries. I must admit I have also been busy to get back to a post.
