Hi All -
I'm looking for a source for cheap boost boards that can deliver to me in California in 10 days or so.
I'm teaching a tinkering class to a bunch of kids in about 10 days. Along with simple robots and bleep-bloop circuits, I stocked up on cheap LEDs in many colors & figured I'd let them design & build their own wacky flashlights. It's a three week class but the flashlights are the simplest project (circuit-wise at least), so I really want to do those at the beginning.
Two weeks ago I ordered a bunch of the cheap 3.7v boost circuit boards from DX
(more specifically, "AA and 14500 Circuit Board for 3.7V LED Emitters 3-Pack (1.5V~4.2V Input)" in bulk for $1.79 ea.)
so that my students could make small 1-AA lights that would actually be handy to use. Lead time was a little tight, but their last order came pretty quickly...
This order hasn't shipped yet. I've opened a ticket over at DX, but I'm concerned that it won't arrive in time unless I'm very lucky.
So, if I need -- ok, want
-- these boost boards in 10 days (two weeks at the outside), and can't afford to spend several dollars on each one, what are my alternatives?
Thanks!
Steve
