I currently have a Spark ST6-500cw and like it but it has been bleeding batteries. I don't really understand it but every time I reach for it the batteries are drained (and no I'm not leaving it on). :)

I'd like to try a Zebralight but I'm totally confused by all the models and different tints. I do like the different modes on the Spark and the ability to be able to "spot" thinks at distance when I want to. If I'm just reading in the tent I usually use the lowest mode. I don't think I would want the "flood only" version of the Zebralight.

Please help me choose.

Thanks.

SC52 is the best AA zebralight. SC600 would be my choice for a 18650 battery. I think the SC52 is one of the best AA edc sized lights available. I would recommend the neutral white versions.

I dident like the all flood zebra for my tasks, so ended up with a h51fc. Still floody, but not all flood so no problems when walking etc, high cri. Dont regret it.

If you go to the ZL website and click on "Compare Models" you will se that there are really only a few active current models at all.
This makes it pretty simple to compare them I think?

There are battery choices and then tint choices in Flashlights and the same with Headlamps.
Within each of these are a few different tint choices and they sort of describe themselves to me.

There are reviews and threads here about all of the tint options.

So overall the line is not confusing as much as diverse but each line shares similar options making the choice about the battery you want and the tint you want.

Everyone that I own is great too so it is tough to make a bad choice.

a headlamp is a headlamp and thus needs a more floody light output, but the full on the Zebras is quite bright and also reaches far.

When I type the Spark Modle in and check the results, only the H600 remains (battery & size) - it really is the best headlamp, imho.
EXTREMELY small, You will be surprised.

.. as to levels ... if You like, You can program them (very easy and self teaching) but in the end the - cool - UI is three level.
--> again easy.
(I had the same fears before getting one)

There is not much difference in the H600 and H600w, get what You think is better for You.

One thing: for real hard work use, the middle rubber strap is missing ...

Wiat till the new ones from Xtar and Armytek come out before you decide. I have an H51N and an H502D HiCRI. Both are great for what they are. I had issues with the H51 and I'd rather go for a root canal before dealing with ZL's horrid customer sevice again. I will not buy another Zebralight again. There's competition coming for them. They had no competition before.

My first suggestion would be to get your headlamp fixed. It’s not supposed to be doing that. So whomever you bought it from I am sure will be able to help you resolve the issue. Especially if you like the headlamp.

Since you are already in the 18650 game and I am assuming you have the batteries and charger I would recommend Zebralight H600w XM-L 18650 Headlamp Neutral White if you are looking for something different than the Spark.

I am also supposed to be testing the new Armytek Wizard if you can wait I will be more than happy to give you my opinion on this particular offering. Based on specifications it should give both Zebra and Spark a run for their money.

I have a Zebralight H51FW that I love. I bought the H51w first, but exchanged it for the floody model because the beam was too focussed to read by. The H51FW model is a good combination of throw and flood. Most of my work is closeup backstage stuff and reading in the dark. But the H51fw can also easily light up objects 30ft away.
I like the w tint Zebralights. I also have a ZL H502c and that tint is green around the edges. The w tint doesn't have that tint variation.
