Help Finding Replacement Driver

I recently may or may not have killed my fairly new Romisen RC-N3 II from Shiningbeam, and now I'm trying to find a way to resurrect it.

I've narrowed the problem down to the driver board and am now looking into alternatives.

• Runs off of 1 or 2 AA batteries
• Multimode with at least low and high
• ~14 mm diameter

I'm not exactly sure what Cree Q5s should be driven at, and from looking up the datasheet, I can't really figure it out...

As long as I can hold it comfortably. What temperature max would that be?

Sorry, I have no idea what the thermal path from the LED to the case is like in that torch.

But with a quick glance I can only see one driver in the list (for link see tagline) which would fit in that diameter and have more than one mode, and it might get very hot itself if you could fit 2xAA in there as well.
