I can't choose which one i should get. I need HELP guys! Klarus XT11 or Jetbeam 3M XML? XT11 has more performance but the 3M XML is more compact than the XT11 right??

xt11 148mm (Length) x 34.9 mm (Head) x 25.4mm (Body) x 26.2mm( Tail)
3M Head diameter 33mm, tube diameter 25.4mm, total length 138mm

I think 3M only has 2 modes .

I never had a Klarus yet, but I have owned the 3M XML and the R5. The 3M has two modes ONE is HIGH and one is pretty much anything you want (head loosened). Decent Throw and very nice and well built light.

klarus xt11 steps down to ~370 lumens after 3 very short minutes. 370 is weak :(

also the klarus UI is EXCELLENT for tactical/tacticool applications. it always fires up in MAX mode, but for everyday use it kinda sucks unless you want getting blasted with max mode first e.g. you wake up in the middle of the night and you end up getting neuralized by the klarus LOL

as for jet 3m xml it'll also work as a tactical light, you simply have to remember to leave it in head-tight mode. the head-loose mode can be programmed to any one of the vast assortment of available options, yeah you could even select how fast the strobe blinks, so if you want a slow 1hz warning flash on a bike you can do that with the jetbeam

the brightness can be programmed from a sub-lumen low up to a max of 450 lumens. and there's no step down, it's a constant 450 lumens, well of course it's not a perfect flat line like a zebralight but you get the point ;)

70 percent of 600 is 420 + it can use cr123 as last resort or 16340 for 700+ lumens .

When we measured the XT11 at the NJ CPF party...it was at 600 Lumens on an 18650 and 850 L on two RCR123's.

You have to leave it on high for that time all at once to get a drop down...and typically, you probably won't notice unless you are staring at it when it ramps down to protect against over heating.

As mentioned the UI is tactical...on in High.

This works for those of us who typically WANT it to come on in high, but, is NOT ideal for those of us who want it to come on in low, etc.

For tactical, my lights are tactical....for around the house...not tactical. I don't like memory, but, for non-tactical use, I prefer the light to come on at its lowest level, and then let me ramp it up.

I don't really need a tight beam as (ESPECIALLY) non-tactical use typically involves task lighting, or more close range lighting, etc...so a floody beam is much more useful. It takes more lumens to get the same "brightness" as far as being able to see details, etc...but, you see so much more at a time that its definitely worth it. The Zebralight SC600 is VERY good for this sort of thing, as it tough, can go from sub-lumens, all the way up to 750 lumens, and is very compact (~ 4").

The SC600 still throws a good 50-60 yards or so no problem though...and its a wall of light....so you see a LOT in that range. :D

If you want throw I would consider the Thrunite TN11s or TN11. TN11s is newer, and possibly a better UI.

thanks for sharing this information. now the XT11 will be removed from my list. new list for me to choose would be
TN11
3M XML
SUREFIRE P2X Fury
EAGLETAC g25C2?

I dont have much info on lights so i really would appreciate your help. i need a light which is just like the size of the XT11 but throws well since i have a farm and i need to keep track of my dog at night. hahaha

The Jetbeam 3M XML is not much of a thrower. My Thrunite TN11 will stomp my Jetbeam 3M XML for throw.

all XT11-sized lights don't throw well that's just physics. you need to move up in reflector size. your first stop is the xeno g42, bigger head than XT11 so it pretty much out-throws all other lights in the XT11 class. i'm just not sure if it could out-throw the eagletac g25c2 mkII w/ its massive 800+ lumen output

problem with g42 is what's been dubbed the "budget light interface" LOL. it changes modes as you flash the forward-clicky tailswitch so it kinda sucks :(

then your next step up are the lower-cost 2x 18650 lights like jetbeam bc40 or nitecore mt40. these have bigger heads and a lot more lumens than g42 :)

so it's up to you. if you wanna stay with the XT11 size i'd probably go with the eagletac g25c2. it's probably the highest performance single-cell single-XML right now

but for a lot less money you could outperform all of the above-mentioned lights with the bc40 or mt40 :)

yes. again, THANK YOU for the help. very big help. i guess i will go with the eagletac g25c2.

how about the thrunite TN31 super thrower? does this light have a review here somewhere?

check out flashlightreviews.ca

if i were you i'd get the K40 instead of the TN31. Google this: SBFlashlights K40

probably just a bit less performance than TN31 but price is much much better. how does half the price sound to you LOL ;)
