Hi All,

I have rectified the AC power of a model generator I have constructed and the DC rectified voltage from the output is 167.2 DC volts.

I wish to see if I can draw a current out that will be 90 milliamps. What series LED string of ??? lamps and what resistor should I use to lite up the lamps and show a series circuit drawing 90 milliamps?

Basically I am testing the generator model to see just how much of a lamp load it can take by focusing on current. I need to draw better than 60 milliamps.

Your help will be most appreciated.

Thanks, Tom

Is the measured voltage open circuit or with load? The voltage will drop significantly under load depending on the internal resistance of the model generator. Find the voltage at 90ma before you continue.
