Good evening CPF. I must enlist your help in choosing a headlamp. These are the requirements:

1. I will be wearing this excusively on my hard hat at work. So it must be able to be put on a rubber strap or have clips.
2. I need to have a good balance of throw and spill. A slide out diffuser would even work. If I can't have both, then I would prefer more spill since a G2L will be at my side.
3. I think I need the battery pack in the front or the rear battery must sit high on the strap because there is a curved lip all the way around the bottom of hard hat.
4. I must be able to pick this up for $50-$60.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to use your combined experience and expertise to track this headlamp down and post you findings in this thread. As always, should you or any of your headlamp force be caught or go :poof:, Greta and I will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

Firstly, :welcome:

Lucky you, you've basically mentioned the features of the Princeton Tec EOS II.

1. The EOS II is an industrial model of the extremely popular EOS, it comes with hard hat attachments included.
2. The EOS/EOS II is well know for its excellent balance of throw and spill
3. Battery compartment is in the front unit. (Three AAA's)
4. It costs about $50 on BrightGuy

Hope this helps,
