Hello folks! My coleman lantern has died on me. It uses 2 4watt fluorescent bulbs. The bulbs work, but when I turn it on, they just flicker. I think the ballast or the electronics inside are messed up. Either case, I am thinking of gutting it out and tossing a beefier battery in there along with some LED's. I don't which LED's to go with and which battery to use for maximum performance and battery life. Originally, this lantern would let me either use 1 bulb or both bulbs. It also has a remote control feature which was used once in a while, but I wouldn't mind discarding it. If I wanted to use the remote control feature, I would be able to do so with a few transisters, but that would use up too much energy. Any suggestions?
