So I'm working on moding my KX2 with a reflector and got a temporary reflector put together, until TranquillityBase saves me, thank you. But I want to get some kind of trim ring between the reflector and the glass.

Here's where I'm at now:

And here's where I'm trying to get to.

It needs to be thin (.25-.5mm) and solid, I tried a rubber gasket thing with no luck. Ideas, Thoughts and Solutions welcomed.

I'm not sure many people are going to see this thread where you have put it, so I'll move it to 'Homemade & Modified' for you.

To get such a thin gasket you might need to resort to gasket material. One possibility is to spread a very, very thin layer of RTV (liquid rubber) on the edge of the reflector. Let it dry overnight so that it can finish outgassing.

You can buy RTV sealer in many different colors at your local auto store. They make it in different formulas including some that can handle high temperatures.

The stores should be pretty empty today. :)
