I seem to remember sometime last year there was a member here that was looking to sell an HLVH, but I can't find the thread. I doubt it's still available, but...

(and if anyone knows of one for a 'reasonable' price (particularly an EM) - PLEASE let me know (and yes, I realize that 'reasonable' for a HLVH isn't the same price range as reasonable for other lathes)

12 years with the company - 200 people let go, and another 200 openings "closed"

At least I got 12 weeks of severence, and I have a good chunk of change in the bank

Having a severance is great indeed (I have now been laid-off twice in my career) but finding a new job is still time consuming and stressful. Make sure you stay close to family and friends - they will help you adjust. Also don't wait too long to start networking - think of it as planting seeds - eventually one of those connections might come with "the" lead you need. Hang in there and remain positive

It's a bit of blow being laid off, happened to me last Friday. Two weeks notice. I talked to a nice guy yesterday so hopefully I'll not be out of work too long.

Good luck my friend, as one door closes another opens:thumbsup:.
