How bright is Peak Pacific with CR2?

Which power level? Give Peak a call. Their website isn't that great but their customer service over the phone is fantastic.

The lights are single stage, but you can choose between several brightness levels before you buy so that the light is more suited to your work.

Edit: The 500cp light has the "SP" brightness level, and is the brightest available.

I have one brass SP with CR2 and AA pocket bodies.
I just measured current draw: with CR2 600mA
and nimh AA 800mA.
I really like the brass bodies and different body options, but I usually use CR2 body since it's so small and I have enough cells for few years.

Peak Pacific with CR2 and P4/500 cp?

How many lumens is that?

How good is the run time?

When I called them they said the run time was 1.5 hours with a AA battery with the P4 on the 500 candlepower option. As for how bright the 500 candlepower is I wish someone that owns a couple different flashlights would tell us how bright they are in comparison to this specific model and output option.

Nope. Have you tried calling Peak yet? They really do know what they're doing. Alternately, you could request to have this thread moved to the Peak subforum.

The Peak Pacifics aren't super bright but are great quality , if your after super bright you'll be disappointed buy one of their CR123 lights. I love my Peak Pacific HP CR2

I'm currently evaluating a "Ranier" and it kicks butt. 180 lumens and built super nicely. Mine has the forward clickie option. I was able to see the water from the balcony of my cruise ship on the 9th floor last week. People couldn't believe the light was coming from such a small unit.

Can it work with CR2 body?

I cannot find the web site now to check out, is it one of the bigger lites?

Why don't you post in the Peak forum? Anyway these are not super bright lights, even in the "super power" setup. They are straightforward to operate and very well made. I have the HP configuration which they claim is 250 cp. I think I eyeball estimated it in the 15-20 lumen range. I'd expect the 500cp setup to be 2x as bright or 30-40 lumens, less than CPF'ers have gotten accustomed to from the lumen arms race, but runtime should be pretty good. It also might be feasible to install a higher flux led (Seoul V bin once those become available) to get a bit more output.

I have a few Pacifics - 3 with the CR2 bodies. The light gets about 420 lux at 1 meter with the the Ultrapower (UP) and about 320 or so with the Highpower head and CR2 power. Output drops about 100 lux for the AA or AAA bodies.

I don't use the light for much time when it is used, and the battery lasts a long time like this. I'd expect 3 hours of runtime for the HP and 1 1/2 or 2 for the Ultra.

I have an HA CR2 pocket body UP Pacific in my pocket right now. The SP will probably have very short runtime, but the UP is great.
