How do I power up my Triton charger and other Triton questions...

I understand that the Triton can be run off a laptop adpator and am wondering how to do it cos the input terminals are actually crocodile clips.

1. Do I have to snip off the output jack of the adaptor, separate the wires and twirl them around the correct corcodile clips?

2. Regarding charging, I have read that Nimh should be charged in series, what about for Li-ion?

3. For charging in series, I know someone has made a clamp to be used for this purpose. Can I do a shortcut and just use rare earth magnets to hold the batteries together instead?
