How many cr123a's fit in a usps flat rate box?

Weight limit is like 70lbs.

THAT I'd like to see

4 pound limit applies for:
Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope 12-1/2" x 9-1/2"
Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8"

20 pound limit applies for:
Priority Mail Regular Flat Rate Box (FRB-1) 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
Priority Mail Regular Flat Rate Box (FRB-2) 13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8"
Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box 12" x 12" x 5-1/2"

What box are you thinking of?

Take the guesswork out of shipping with Priority Mail® Flat Rates. Whatever fits in the box or envelope ships for one low rate—anywhere in the United States. There's virtually no weighing or calculating. And your packages reach their destination in 2-3 days.

Restrictions

Contents must reasonably fit within the Priority Mail packaging, and weigh less than 70 pounds.

70lbs....your probably looking at a box that can fit a desktop cabinet in...that equates to a couple THOUSAND batteries at minimum:crackup:

can you imagine if a video cassette box weighed 70 pounds?! geez, leadshot's probably the only thing you can use to break that limit if that was the case, or depleted uranium

Tightly packed like this:

you can probably fit all 100 in the small flat rate box (8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8"). I recently sent a package of this size via Global Priority Mail to Oz and it cost US$12.30 (done on-line). At 17gm. per cell, weight of 100 cells is 3.75lb. excluding packaging. You will probably be able to meet the 4lb. limit.

Illum, the weight numbers you quoted apply to International shipments:

Thanks for the replies guys, almost forgot about this thread until I started a feeler for a GB. I'll measure up some cells when I get home. I'm thinking of the small flat rate box. The calculator on BJ's site wants 50 dollars shipping via first class for the box of rov's mentioned above.
