I have two L1D flashlights but how can i tell what models they are?

The boxes say:
1) Fenix L1D with Luxeon Rebel LED (but does not specify if RB80, RB100...)
2) A Fenix L1D CE with Cree 7090 XR-E LED (but does not said Q4, Q5...)

How you tell appart you the exact model???

The LED's themselves have a distinct look. The Cree appears to have a crack-like feature in the emitter.

Dunno how to tell apart these models.

However you can tell whether the LED is a Cree or a Rebel (Luxeon). With the light off take a good close look at the LEDs. Both will appear yellow from the phosphor coating. The Cree die is larger, and is crossed by two lines (to carry current, like on a solar cell). The Rebel die appears smaller, and there's a grid of darker dots laid out across the surface.

The dies are actually about the same size, but the dome of the Cree(along with the whole packaging of the Cree XR-E) is about 4 times bigger.

I think all of the Q5s and Q2s state the bin on the head of the light. Not sure about the Rebels.

Thanks guys. Now I know how to physically tell apart a Cree from a Luxeon. Until now, the only evident difference was the pronounced warmer tint of the Luxeon.
But my question was more into how to tell apart what type of Cree and what type of Luxeon.
In the head yes there is a label but I cannot interpret it:
-Luxeon one: US344851
- Cree one: US622530
I don´t know if they are RB80, Q4, RB100, Q5… :eek:oo:
