How to tell apart the KL1's Version? GEN4 KL1 LUX3 LAMBERTIAN or GEN3 KL1 LUX3 LAMBERTIAN

Welcome to CPF

Is it really obvious. The latest (current) version of the KL1 has a completely different style:

Top to Bottom:

E2e
E2e+KL1 (old style)
L4+KL1 (current "new" style)
L4

The current KL1 has a LuxeonIII behind a TIR optic.

The old style KL1 used a low dome Luxeon I & NX05 optic.
Just prior to the new KL1 being released SureFire produced a few old style KL1's with high dome Luxeon I and the NX05 optic.
I am not sure it is possible to tell a Luxeon I high dome and Luxeon III apart from the beams they produce through the NX05 at the current level the old style KL1 was providing.

Is the drive level increased in the LuxIII versions? I assume regardless they are using a LuxIII for the generally better tint.

I believe I've seen on CPF that the current (new) KL1 with LuxeonIII and TIR optic is being driven at a higher current compared with old versions of the KL1.
