I have a D-mini w/18650 body and have eaten up 2 led modules, are there any other lights in this platform out there under $200?
Mike
Don't waste any more time and money Tiablo A8 with q5 LED (up around 20,000 plus lux @ 1 meter) Actually 26,000 at 1 m that's huge...that's on my meter that confirms 7500 lux for the u2 8 mode copy from deal extreme with 2 x C123 rechargeables-- so my meter seems OK---
The A8 is regulated all the way until the battery is spent. --awsome unit
So you don't really need a list if you are serious about an 18650 unit.
Cheers Have fun
There's a sticky with many (if not all) cree/seoul based lights currently available listed... it's easy to highlight in red text all the 18650 models there (by adding the &highlight= tag behind the web adres in you browser... like this

Hope this helps

DX has many 18650 lights ranging from $17(Ultrafire WF-502) to $70(Unwarranted MRV, they also have the D-mini but it is also unwarranted)
The Lumapower M1-R might be a better choice for you.
Unless i am missing something the D-mini is a 123 light. Is there a extension tube to make it useable with 18650?
Correct.Thanks for the info Gunner.
Mini-D $45 plus $55 for extension is $100, Lighthound has the Q5 Tiablo for $127 plus shipping. Seems to me the Tiablo would be a much better light.
Thanks!
I'm sorry I don't speak lux, can you offer me lux on the d-mini as so I can compare for me to have a reference to?

Have a search on CPF and you should find some comparison photos or other reviews.
Basically off the shelf there is not much that can compete with the Performance of the Tiablo A8. There are some good reviews on this site on the A8 so take your time and soak it in. There are some other high performance LED flashlights that it compares too however when you take into consideration the A8's optics, power regulator, quality and really good value then you should be able to convince yourself the best way to go.
My advice is the A8 with q5 LED option.
Good viewings!!
