Hi,

How good is the HXY-042V2000A LiIon charger that Dereelight sells?

Was also wondering about the SenyBor CGR18700A batteries he sells with them.

Cheers,
Erayd

Erayd, I own the two-cell version of this charger and I couldn't be happier with it. It charges one or two cells independently and terminates @ 4.2v/cell consistently. It is for 18650 cells only due to its 1A charge current rating. It cost $5.19 and is shipped free from China. They have thousands in stock.

If you are interested, PM me for the sellers' info.

I know nothing about the batteries Dereelight sells, so can't help you there.

Thanks heaps for that - it's good to know. I probably don't need the two-bay version though, as I'll only need to charge one at a time. Plus it's cheaper if I buy it bundled with a light, although ironically that's still more than the price you've quoted... Do you know how fast they ship (for the two-bay ones)?

You are welcome. Took about 10 days to receive mine. Same as shipping from Dereelight web site. The price difference isn't enough to really worry about. Just do what you feel is right for you. I love my Dereelight DBS v2 MCE.

Erayd,

Disregard all of my comments about the two-cell charger as mine has just failed!:thumbsdow It worked last night just fine, but this morning it was charging and suddenly the lights went out :poof: No more workie. I am very disappointed because it was doing a great job of charging 18650's to exactly 4.20v.

Whenever you get serious about charging li-ion cells it is a good idea to get a proven charger like the Pila IBC or a decent entry level hobby charger. I wish I had done that in the 1st place instead of wasting $50 being a cheapskate.

Sorry if I inconvenienced you in any way.
