I had the original Hybrios in the red/green/black livery and was worried when my next purchases were only red/green and did not have the word Hybrio on them.

Since the later purchases did not have the word Hybrio on , I Emailed Uniross for clarification ... It appears that the new name is "Multi-Usage" , so no problem ... That's a relief as I am gradually getting rid of my non-LSD cells !

Thank you for contacting Uniross.

Both of the batteries that you have described are Hybrio batteries. The green and red batteries should have Multi Usage on them, which is the new name for our batteries with the Hybrio technology.

They are LSD but have really horrible capacities.

Probably labelled 1900mAh and in reality only give around 1600mAh at any discharge rate.
I have a few and relegated them to kids toys and the like.

Old Hybrio's (flat button) are duplicates of the Eneloops in performance, so much so that people think they are just re-badged.

The white-top Hybrios are the only ones that count, and they stopped making those ages ago. If I were buying now, I would just stick to Eneloops.

.
They are labeled in the small print (and I mean very small print) that they are 2100mAh , but there again the old Hybrios that I have are also 2100mAh.

Haven't checked the capacity as they are only used in torches.

Most Hybrio's have white tops, the white varies from a more matt one to a gloss.

The more matt finish with the flatter + are probably Eneloops.
The older smaller + contact cells with the red/green/black wrappers are pretty good too.
Definitely LSD and right up there with around 2000mAh when tested.

I cant even recall what toys the newer ones are in to photograph them ;)
I'll get em eventually for charging again.
They are Low Self Discharge none the less but not worth paying 2000mAh prices for 1600mAh low capacity LSD's.

These are identical to the newer Hybrio's but thankfully cost a lot less too.
I have lots for my kids toys and general replacement of alkalines.
They also measure out 1600mAh in testing.

I wonder who General Prupose is?
