Hallo forum!
I have a Hyperion 5i charger and would like know the mean of bold value on this example display:
CHG 11.20 00172
LP+0.90A 4.105V

I know this:
CHG = charge
11.20 = time elapsed
00172 = not know (this value increase!)
LP+0.90A = selected charging current of LiPo battery
4.105V= battery voltage at time

Thanks for help

That is the accumulated mAh that has gone in to the cell. :)

Dave

That is if the battery originally had 2000mA and is charged to 2200mA, the counter now should mark 200mA?
Have I understood well? :crazy:

Yes. In your example in post #1, if your battery started out with 2000mAh capacity, when the charger showed "00172", the cell would be at approximately 2172mAh. Li-Ion chargers are not 100% efficient, but are pretty close, as opposed to NiCd/NiMH chargers.

It is important to note your misuse of the term "mA". The terms "mA" and "mah", are not interchangeable, and have different meanings. "mA" is current flow, in real time. "mAh" is current flow in relation to time. For example, in the quoted readings in your first post, the charge rate of the charger is 900mA (0.90A). The accumulated charge, or capacity, that has been put in to the battery is 172mAh.

Hope this helps,

Dave
