I'm trying to take my mag apart and I have taken the rubber cover off, and I loosened the 5/64th allen. I can't get it come out though. I can turn the switch assembly 360 degrees, and only slightly wiggle the assembly up and down. But I can't get it out. This light is kinda old, what am I don't wrong?

make sure you are pushing it towards the battery cap end- there is a lip in front of the switch assembly that prevents you pushing it out the buld end.

hope that helps

Unless he has an older Mag. He did mention it is pretty old.

If there's no "C" or "D" in the beginning of the serial number there's a spanner ring on the top that needs to be removed first then the switch will come out the front.

Also if it's an older C, be careful pushing it out the top. I took one apart a few months ago and it flew apart as soon as it came out. I'm not sure if this is normal in the old lights, but i lost the allen screw when it happened

There is no c or d at the beginning. It is an old light that was given to my dad a while back. I see that silver ring at the front, how do I remove it?

The proper tool is a spanner wrench but you could use some long tweezers or needle nose pliers.
