I lost my Inova X5:

Pls don't laugh. It has faithfully served me for 5 years.
I have been using the original holster and I think it must have slipped out.

Anyway, I need to get a replacement.

LED tech has improved so much in past 5 years and there are so many more choices now.
But I just do not have enough time to sort through all the informative posts.

So could you help in narrowing what to get?

Here are some important points for me:
1. Obviously I'd like to get the brightest one.
But I'm not in law enforcement, so I don't need a bulky "tactical" light.
2. One of the main reasons that I liked X5 was its small/skinny profile.
I carried it on my belt.
I commute to NYC everyday on a public transportation and I can't afford to be mistaken for carrying a weapon.
3. I would like to get one that has more secure holster.
Or can I get this separately?

Get a new Inova X5! The new one is brighter with upgraded LEDs so just make sure you buy from someone with fresh stock. I think BatteryJunction stocks the X5, they sell a lot of Inovas.

For a holster, try Ripoffs holsters, or perhaps find a custom maker who can make you a nice one. Last time I checked, Lifter's Leather makes reasonably priced leather holsters custom and super high quality.

Do you want to stay with cr123's?
Do you want something floody like the x5?

The Inova T1 is not really all that much bigger (width) then the X5 and it is shorter then the X5. You might want to check it out!
