Before the mass deletion awhile back, I was in the middle of a thread about US military tank lights, and there was an annual military vehicle show in Lodi (Ca.) where VSS-1's and VSS-3's are commonly sold.
I just got back from this year's show, and a working VSS-1, with M60 tank mount, was sold for $100.00. (I missed it by about 45 minutes.) Granted there was no control module, and the power/control cable was not there, but still.......................

I'm just sayin'.

The VSS-1 control boxes are fairly easy to come by. I had a spare when I had mine and gave it away. I see them on Ebay somewhat frequently. You can make your own cable.

I see a VSS-1 on ebay at the moment. Started at $350, no bids, ends in 3 days. Might be a good deal.
