Identifying the version of a 3D Maglite

Hi, I'm trying to identify a 3D maglite that I've had for quite a few years.

It's got a 'D' in the serial number but I'm wondering if the head is from an older model. I've measured down from the rim to the landing and it's 16.2mm or approx 0.62 inches.

I've also tried my best to measure the opening of the landing and it seems to be about 34.7mm or about 1.36 inches

The serial number is D38842190

Hey buddy, you can email your serial to Maglite (use the contact form on their website) and they can tell you exactly when it was manufactured. If the head was significantly older, it would be a bit too wide to fit.

I received a reply from Maglite,
it was manufactured back in July of 1994
