A yellow G2 was my 3rd Surefire purchase back when I found this place. It embodies what I think a flashlight should be. Small, bright, and easily found in low light conditions. Black ano is cool, but for non-tactical conditions not the best color for a flashlight. As my collection got bigger I had the opportunity to sell that light and I did. Then when SF started selling these with aluminum bezels I really regretted not keeping it. I was never a big fan of mixing plastic and metal parts. Last week one popped up on the Marketplace and I snagged it. It was the last all nitrolon model and had a LOTC. Big bonus!
Over the years I have collected and kept a lot of lights. But what makes me most happy these days is a yellow plastic flashlight. It must be the season, all of my non-pocketable EDCs are incans. I know when I go out tonight the yellow flashlight strapped to my hip screams NERD! But then again they never say that when the lights go out.
