That drop in's are reliable enough to be used for an "on duty" light.

I've owned two drop ins and neither have proven themselves reliabxle enough for the rough use that a duty light needs.

Don't get me wrong, I love LED lights and think the newest crop have reached a point that they are capable of replacing most incandescent lights with the exception of the longest throwers. I love the beam and output of the Pelican 7060 and the function and form factor of the Gladius.

I'm going to order 2 more drop in's and two dedicated LED lights. I hope they are reliable and rugged enough for duty use.

Well....... enlighten us as to which drop ins have been unreliable for you.
I know that you're getting the same Wolfeyes Q5 drop in that I am. My previous Wolfeyes went back for an exchange, and worked great when it was stolen. I am convinced that the P60L is very tough, it still worked when I was done "testing" it!

I really don't care to disparage any one product. They all worked as advertised.
The first one was a Luxion III that was supposed to work with 6V or 9V and it stopped working when I used it in a Surefire Z3 with PILA batteries 7.2V

I'm currently testing a Q5. It works perfectly in my G2 and Maxfire bodies, but is unreliable in my G2Z. Again it works as advertised, just not in all the bodies it should.

Once I receive the lights and drop ins I'm ordering tomorrow and put them through some paces, we'll see how it goes.
