Greetings!
Can anyone tell me, if the Inova T2 runs with rechargeables? What about the Inova T3?

Thanx for every answer!

I think people tried to use PILA rechargeable LiIons in Inovas. tried to take some of the shrink wrap of the batteries to make them fit. I'm not sure it works. Would be interested to know as well. I'm sure there have been threads about it. Just can't find them.

I have a T3. I removed one layer of the shrink wrap from a Pila 168S and the battery fits perfectly. I don't have the test equipment to measure how bright it is, but it seems just as bright as when powered with a pair of 123's

justmetoo,
Thanks for the info. Any idea what the runtime is with the Pila 168s cell?

I do not have a T2, but I do have an X0, which is very similar. It runs fine with two R123, in regulation and no overcurrent, which happens with the 24/7 and the T1; in other words, the T1 and the 24/7 do not work with Li-Ion 123s, while the X0 (and the T2, very likely) will work fine with two R123.
None of the 2-cells Inova lights can be fitted with Pila 168S. I am afraid of removing one layer of shrink-wrap since it helps protecting the tiny connecting wire placed alongside the battery.

I have been running the Li-Ion 3.6v 700mAh cells in all of the T series over the last month. No trouble though some short run times in the T2 and T3.

Running my XO3 on a Pila 168S with the outer wrapper removed (tight battery tube) I'm getting full regulated brightness for probably 2 hours, then another 40 minutes of diminishing output.
