Will the 1.7V on a Lithium AA cell overload my X1? Since mine is one of those with an issue when using older cells, I constantly need to change the batteries, and was thinking about using some Energizer e2 (the only ones available here I believe), but what I read about the 1.7V made me think twice.

Will I be safe if I use those e2 on the X1?

I think it's fair to say that we don't know.

What I can tell you is that fresh out of the pack an Energizer lithium reads 1.8 V, and fresh out of the pack an alkaline battery reads 1.6 V. It's probable you would be OK, but only Inova could tell you for sure.

I run my both my Inova X1 generation 2 and generation 3 on Energizer e2 Lithium L91's for over 6 months now with no issues so far.
