Inova X1, worthy upgrade to 55000 mcd jleds?

Hello all.

I've read quite a few posts on freeze popping a (gen2) Inova X1. I think I am capable to opening one up, I'm just not sure it's worth it.

I was going to replace the nicha CS with a jled 55000 mcd, but I'm unsure if it will make it much brighter.

I looked at the massive thread on 5mm leds, but I don't quite understand the graphs and I'm usure of the operating curreng on the X1 so I can't tell if it will be much brighter.

So what do all you skilled modders think? Is it a lot brighter and whiter, or just a bit (in which case I won't bother).

I would do it because of the tint. It will be a yellow brown instead of blue.

Well, the tint might be betetr, but is it much brighter?

Don't really want to do all that work for a tint improvement only!

My gen2 came apart in my hands, I don't know if you will be this "lucky" but I'd say go for it; to my knowledge the X1 is sporting a 36cd led

I went through parts of it. I'm not sure of the x1 drive current and it's all really big and confusing!
