Inova X5 - 2xRCR123?

Quick question... Will it ? Anyone tried? Does the circuit have enough tolerance and robustness to handle the added voltage?

**edit* I already tried the search tool it gagged on "X5" and barfed up everything on "inova".

I can't get rechargeables in my X5.

won't fit, on cr123as the current draw is ~200ma

I'm not sure how the 5 LEDs are wired, I presume its parallel stepped down via resistor to give around 40ma/LED

I don't think it would fry...but good luck getting the batteries out :candle:

Aren't CR123 and RCR123 the same 16mm nominal diameter?

I have with LifePO4 3v RCR123's (Tenergy brand) worked great on the latest generation X5's (tried in 3 of them). I can't say anything about the older gens or the higher voltage RCR's though.

yeah...unprotected yes, protected adds a bit of thickness due to the heat shrink plastic
