I had some reticence on posting my comments on this section, but in balance its better here rather than in the led flashlights section which was the other option, i say this because i lack tools to make precise measures for this to be a good review, no to mention i lack a lot of general knowledge about flashlights, however maybe someone could use the info and pics.

When Relojero gave it to me i couldnt find much info or pics of it, dont know why, maybe i can help fill that gap a little. I will paste what i wrote now:

Inova X02 (luxeon III I think) given to me thanks to the generosity of Relojero!, mostly my comments and impressions, since i dont have any ways to measure performance precisely, I will do this in a practical and empiric way.

The light is very sturdy with a clean solid look and feel, more than my Fenix lights, well its also understandable since its considerably bigger, but still, the machining seems more precise and smooth as is the HA (except on the facets on the body that has some machining marks), this flashlight seems to be integrally designed, compared to the Fenix L1Tv2 that I have which is more modular, but the Fenix is more efficient, and its U.I. and handling is better, understandably, since its newer and uses a Rebel 80 led. That being said it has some operation flaws on the design of the XO2:

The tailcap momentary switch isn't as positive, it tends to fail sometimes, depending on how deep is the tailcap closed or screwed; that gives an uncomfortable margin (albeit small) of possibilities for not working with precision, the twist constant on the other hand works great as the knurling and threading helps it.

Some say the body is slippery, I haven't found it to be serious, Fenixes are WAY more slippery, but with sweat or other liquids it can be the case, haven't tested it in that matter though.

The beam is useful, I found that albeit the TIROS optics focus the beam a lot it has an interesting, almost 180° degree dim sidespill to it that is very useful to have when you need to navigate in an unknown room or space, works well in closed environments.

I received the light just as I was about to go to measure an apartment and check some details, the timing was perfect to make a little test, as it was about to be remodeled by a friend it had no lighting in some rooms; cant post pictures of that to respect the owners privacy, but the light was very handy, the dim spill helped to navigate; had no use for throw in there so no comments in that regard, it put out enough light for that job, so I guess its target function as a family easy to reach light will be easy to accomplish :D

The beam has a lot of rings compared to my L1Tv2 (which is kind of smooth thanks to the OP reflector, though I can see the texture reflection), has some rings that look more purple tan the overall white-lilac tint. Still rings and all the X02 beam is very usable for a lot of purposes. (in the pics it looks a bit whiter due to the auto white balance i guess)

Almost everyone I have showed the light likes how it looks, I do too appreciate its clean lines, with stainless steel parts that detail it just were it looks its needed (front, and tailcap)

I want to thank again to Relojero for this very fine flashlight, things like this one are hard to come by in my country, so I cant see them unless someone buys them online or travels outside (ironic considering we have more power failures, when that happens most people here light up a candle which should be serving better if you have no means for heat or for setting the mood in a room :D)

Thanks for posting your comments on the Inova XO2. My wife often uses an XO2 during nighttime walks.

Like other Luxeon lights, there is variation in the color tints. I have two of the current version XO2s. One has a bluish tint and the other has a yellowish tint.

The bluish tint light throws a little farther, but the yellowish tint light is better for seeing colors of objects more clearly. For some reason, my yellowish tinted XO2 has more spill than the other XO2.

The XO2 draws about 350 mA from a pair of CR123A batteries. Its TIROS beam is comparable to my 2006 TIROS version Inova T1 which draws about 630 mA. Though the XO2 is longer than the T1, the battery life is better.

The tailcap switch from the Inova T1 will fit and work when placed on an XO2. A section of bicycle inner tube added to an XO2 improves the grip.
