There appears to be an interesting new concept for HID lights on the Polarion website: http://www.polarion.co.kr/. Look under "Products" then select "X Series" and then "Dual X".

I can't read Korean but the Dual appears to offer a low beam of 25W for longer runtime and a high beam of 40W in the same light! Wonder what the colour temperature will be at 25W though.

Wow! Up to 90 minutes runtime.

I'm surprised Ken Good hasn't mentioned this yet.

Actually, I wonder why they're discontinuing the PH40 and PH50 when they could try the Dual concept with either a 25W low and 50W high or a 35W low and 50W high. The way the Dual X is presented on the website, it could still be at a concept stage rather than a full production run and maybe that's why Ken hasn't mentioned it yet. Hope he joins us soon!

It is not new. The same images have been there for two years.

But what is this Polarion? The Finnish importer gave me this for testing.

It´s not a dive light I think. It more looks like a light for firefighters.

But it looks kinda crappy, not what one would expect from Polarion...

It is true. but clearly Polarion logos.
Lamp supplier is the same.

I had their Led light, PL-3 home for testing. That was also a piece of "not-so-impressive"...

I have a friend who is over in Korea right now and he´s on his way to Polarion. We´ll see what new info he will bring back..

Good. We look forward to new information ..

Not the prototype LED I talked about.

This is a 3-LED light we are not going to bring into the US.
I think it was more of an experiment.

On another note, I mounted an X1 to my 05' YZ250 to do some night-riding testing. All I can say is WOW! Blows away anything out there short of dual-wired HID setups that require re-wiring the bike.

This solution is bolt onto the bars and go. If you have the RAM mounts already installed on other bike, you can move the setup from bike to bike in seconds.

I could illuminate enough area in rough terrain for 5 riders to ride basically as fast as we could ride in broad daylight.

Didn't get any night shots. Will do that as this progresses.
Just doing some testing for the mount development at this point.
