Is it possible to upgrade the bulbs in a Cygolite Dualcross 200?

It's led light not incan -there is no bulb inside...
You have to dismount the head and check what they use, stars or emitters - then you have to buy SSC P4 U-bin star or emitters and replace them.

Has a Seoul P4 (U-bin) been done before? I'm pretty sure it houses Luxeon now. I'd hate to have the optics be crappy...or worse yet, melt down my pretty Cygolite case.

Heat won't be a problem, P4 like Cree's generate far less heat than luxeon's at the same current.

How the heck do you take these DualCrosses apart? Anybody done it? Some hints would be nice.

I think I'll stick in a couple of Seoul P4 - Ubins.... I've read a few posts about the Cree Q5 requiring a slightly higher Vf, that often cannot be provided by the driver. It actually is less bright than the Q2 bin in this case. Unless somebody has actually done a Dualcross with a Q5 Cree....
