is this really 800 lm

hi iv just orderd this flashlight (fleebay) and was just wondering if anyone thinks this will really be 800 lm. ifnot what would be a good guess at the lm thanks james

Not even close.

An XP-G is a very efficient nice emitter. But at maximum current, you will get about 320 emitter lumens at best. It is probably not driven at the full 1.2 Amps or so and certainly unlikely to be overdriven.

So Id expect about 200 out the front lumens. Never trust ebay or DX/KD lumen ratings. Especially ebay where he out and out lied to you. No way can an XP-G ever hit 800 lumens in even the most idealistic scenario.

I've got one of those, i bought it mainly as a host for a project before ruining a decent light! I'd say it's more like 300 lumens based on a visual comparison of a couple of other lights.

Yup . . . blatant clones of Lumens Factory line of lights.

If it's pumping out even remotely close to half of 800 lumens, then I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell to you. Dirt cheap!
